We build our staff with local teachers, coaches, and enthusiastic young athletes! All of our staff have up to date child abuse, background check, and FBI clearances.

While the curriculum is the same for each week of camp, the camps are separate. We schedule the camps throughout the summer as we understand the challenges of summer schedules, and we often have returning campers looking to attend multiple weeks. Each camp is filled with different and fun personalities, and we regularly have families bring their children out for more than one camp per summer. We’d love to host you for one camp, or more if at all possible!

The LSA staff will work to create a fun learning and camp environment, while ensuring the safety of all campers, staff, parents, visitors, and the local community. We have followed the guidance of the Pennsylvania Department of Health (https://www.media.pa.gov/Pages/Health-Details.aspx?newsid=1425) and CDC Guidelines (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/schools-childcare/summer-camps.html) to create our Summer 2021 Camp Protocol.

We are not requiring that campers be vaccinated or boosted to attend our camps.

For those returning to camp, things will look a bit different this summer, however we are committed to ensuring an excellent camp experience as we’ve done for the last 20+ summers! A few important changes:

-       Masks and social distancing (at least 3 feet) are required for anyone not fully vaccinated- during check-in, morning greeting, breaks, pickup
-       Masks are encouraged, but not required, during the participation and exertion components of camp
-       All non-fully vaccinated LSA staff will be masked for the entirety of camp
-       Campers will be cohorts by age group, and will not have any participation or contact outside of their cohort
-       Snacks/candy/etc. that is given to campers by LSA staff will be limited from previous summers, and if given will be individually wrapped. We are encouraging parents to send their camper with snacks during break periods.
